A Trip to the Zoo...

Charlie..."Look Mom, Baby Geese!!!"

I guess Charlie wouldn't really qualify as a "city boy".

Apparently, a trip to the zoo was in order...

But first, we can't take a trip up to the North Side without a stop at Yak-Zees for a Tangy-Chicken Pizza. Yumm!!

Then we did make our way over to the zoo...and not a moment too soon...

"Hey Guys...there is an ELEPHANT!"

Seriously Ben, that is a ZEBRA!! Good thing we decided to spend the afternoon at the zoo!

"We'll call that one Joe, and that one Mary, and.... that one BEER."

What!?!? Who are these kids??

And, this hairy guy brought the best entertainment for the little boys in our family.

To quote Charlie..."That big monkey is picking his nose and eating his SNOT!! Ewwwww!!"
The boys thought it was absolutely hilarious, Spencer about passed out.
Even though we are no longer an "attraction" at the zoo (you triplet moms know what I'm talking about), I thought I would include this picture, because I like it.

Hmmmm.....

Drew lost a tooth the other day. It's a bottom side tooth that isn't real photogenic. Since my blog posts aren't any good without pictures, I'll use this picture from last spring. There are several teeth missing to go with my "story".

Anyway, back to the story. Drew lost a tooth. I wasn't even home. The first I heard of it was at 4am when Drew was yelling that he couldn't sleep. I went in there to figure out what was going on. He was talking about the tooth fairy and how she hadn't been there yet, and how that surprised him and the rambling went on and on.

Whew...as much as I don't like being woken up at 4am, it was nice to be given the opportunity to shoot the tooth fairy a quick reminder.

The tooth fairy apparently got the reminder because Drew was a happy camper the next morning with a new $1 to his name.

Then, we had an interesting conversation...

Drew: "Mom, I saw the tooth fairy last night."

Me: "huh?"

Drew: "Yeah, she wasn't at all what I had imagined."

Me: "Uuuuhhh....why not?"

Drew: "Wey'lllll, she was BIG....like human sized! And, she didn't even have any wings!!!"

Me: "Huh."

Drew: "Yeah."

That was the whole conversation. No further questions, no connection of the dots. Too funny for a smart little guy.
