A beautiful day for a parade...

Today, Charlie and I went to look for "da brudders" marching in a parade at school.

In case you can't tell, it was not the best weather for a parade.

Luckily, at least for the parade participants, it was an Umbrella Parade!!

Seriously!! Some guy named Matt Lamb started an organization called "Umbrellas for Peace" after 9/11. He travels around the world working with kids to paint umbrellas symbolizing the messages of peace, tolerance, understanding, hope and love. He came to our school last week and every kid in the school painted an umbrella. It is a very cool program.

Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate today. Charlie and I were cold and wet after spending an hour outside, in the rain. At least the parade participants were pretty dry. ;)

I love those umbrella's! Too cool. I want that guy to come to my house & help me paint one.

I can't believe how rainy it was. The kids looked adorable...as always!

After seeing your pics, I am glad we didn't go. i wanted to go and see the parade, but becasue of the weather I decided not to. Trevor doesn't deal with being inthe rain well (of course I wish I could have seen it just long enough to snag a pic of Stephen and Ryan - oh well)
It was a neat thing to have Matt Lamb come, wasn't it!
