Charlie's New Laugh
Sounds a lot like Muaaahahaha. I don't know where he got it, but it is always so unexpected and too funny!!!
Maybe we should reconsider....
....not making them wear helmets when they ride their scooters. Jack took a little spill when he was riding his scooter home from school yesterday. He didn't get his hands down in time and scraped his forehead and nose. No real blood or bumps, but his face looks pretty roughed up this morning.

Go Phillies!!!
I can't believe I just said that!! Boy, I have to change my thinking.
The boys had their first practice with their t-ball team tonight. It actually went really well! I have a good feeling about this season.
Last year, we did t-ball through the park distract and it was not a super successful experience. The park district t-ball *league* is run by some college students. They had *games* twice a week and each *game* lasted one hour. The college kids that were running the program were very nice, but there was not much organization and to say the boys were not real interested would be an understatement.
All 3 of the boys enjoyed batting, but playing defense was not a high priority for them. I'm guessing that the problem is pretty common with 5 year olds. Anyway, my kids figured out a way to get out of playing in the field. Jack was the first one to think of it. After his team had batted, he would tell the coach that he had to go to the bathroom. Drew also thought this was a great idea and the two of them continued it for a couple of games. It took so long to cross the fields, the parking lot and go through the community center to use the bathroom, they each would miss an inning of playing in the field. That is quite a bit of the game, when you consider that most games only lasted 2 innings!! I was steaming mad when I realized that we were being played. But, what is a mom supposed to do....yell "you don't have to go potty, go back out into the field" at her kids in front of the college age coaches and all of the spectators?!?!? I think that would have gone over like a ton of bricks. I would no longer have been known as the mom with all of those boys, I would have been known as the Potty Nazi Mommy. Needless to say, Drew, Jack and I had a 'discussion' after that game and there was no more pottying in t-ball after that. Drew did spend most of his time in the field chatting with the other players and coaches, but at least he was out there!

Boys are cool!!!

I think that we have perfected our morning routine....well, except for how the house looks when we leave for school. When I worked, I was a master with the snooze button. I am horrible at getting up in the morning. I always try to sleep as late as I can and still make it to wherever I have to be on time. At the beginning of the school year, I got up at 7:00 and then got the boys up about 7:35 to get ready for school. I have now managed to improve my time and catch a few extra zzzz's in the morning. I am now *ok* as long as I get into the shower by about 7:24. I wake the boys up by 7:50. All 4 boys get bathed, dressed, fed and coats and shoes on by 8:35. I think that is pretty impressive.I thank God every day for giving my children to me. I think God really knew what he was doing by giving me all boys. There are a lot of great reasons that it is awesome to have 4 boys. For me, a big one is that all 4 of them can get in and out of the bathtub, dressed and hair combed in 20 minutes. Gotta love that!! I definitely would not trade any of my boys for a little girl. I mean aside from the cute outfits and having a good reason for me to go to the American Girl store, boys are just as good and in a lot of ways better (if you ask me.) ;)
So, obviously, I feel pretty good about having my 4 little boys. I am happy to share my feelings about that with anyone that comments about our family dynamic. "Blah...blah..blah...I LOVE having my 4 boys and no, I don't wish that I had a girl, and by the way, aren't they really CUTE little boys!! Who wouldn't want such cute little boys?!?!".
One day, I was at the mall with the boys and a really old lady came up to talk to me as we were eating lunch in the food court. She asked if they were "ALL mine" and then she confirmed that they were "ALL boys". I gave her my usual speal about how I really enjoy all of these boys and no, I don't wish I had a girl....blah...blah...blah. Well, her response really threw me for a loop.
She says "yeah, it's all great to have little boys....the problem turns out to be that they all grow up and then you end up with nothing but Daughter-in-laws!!".
Ouch! That is definitely a downside that I had not considered.
At least my sister has all boys too. That way, I will have someone to go to the mall with if my boys' brides don't appreciate spending time with their nice, young, cool, hip mother-in-law.

So, this woman was featured on ABC News the other night. She is apparently the "Queen of the Mommy Bloggers". Her blog is so good that she has over a million hits a month and companies pay her about $40,000/month to advertise on her blog! Her husband quit his job. She stays home and blogs and he stays home and manages all of the money that she makes! Holy cow! I need some more readers!! Lets see, if both of my readers tell 2 of their friends about my blog, I figure that I can make about 96 cents/month by blogging. You both better get going!!!

When triplet moms have a playdate...
There are LOTS of kids!!!
We had a playdate today, after our visit with the cousins. My friend Monica was the hostess and we all had a great time, in her awesome backyard. The kids enjoyed pizza and fruit rollups and the mommies enjoyed chips and salsa, pizza and margaritas. Triplet mommy playdates are the best!!
There was:
4 - 6year olds
6 - 5 year olds
3 - 4 year olds
2- 1.5 year olds

Here is a picture from a playdate last summer. I had a few leftovers from Charlie's 1st birthday party and emailed a few friends to see if anyone wanted to help us finish off the food...and drinks the next day. This is what we ended up with. 4 of my triplet mom friends and about a bigillion kids.
