how big is the next size up shade? Picking out lampshades is tough - I don't think mine are the right size either. Now this might require you cleaning up your whole room - but what does it look like with the rest of the room. LOL!
I'd post a picture of the rest of the room, but it is so undone. It just got painted that blue...I'm glad you like it! And, we just got new furniture, but I'm still working on the accessories, and they are stressing me out. The lamp is from Target...but thanks for thinking it was from Restoration Hardware. ;) I was thinking the shade was a bit too small too. I'll have to go back and look again.
Totally understand that one - my walls in my bedroom are bare and we don't even have those cool pillows that you are probably trying to find. Just make it comfy to be in and you'll enjoy it the most.
I love the lamp but not crazy about the shade. Maybe something shorter, like the drum lampshades at Potterybarn? http://www.potterybarn.com/srch/index.cfm?words=lampshade That last Potterybarn one, the faux leather, might look quirky and nice. I think the brown would look nice against the blue wall.
I really do not care for it. Here is my suggestion - when you are laying in bed, it the height of the lamp comfortable to turn on and off?? If it is, then measure the height of the lamp to know the size you want. The lamp is a cool shape, but I would think you might want a little more punch. I found lots of choices from overstock. Hope this helps - Elaine
I actually liked it , but I think I would need to see it in person---But function is most important. Can't wait for the finished room---should I start an accesories file for you???

Lice lamp.. need a bigger shade.. next size up. I would probably get a little detail on the shade since the lamp is a little fancy.
