I'm sorry that my blog has been neglected the last couple of days. It's tough coming up with something to follow the big news from earlier this week. And, I've been on-line Christmas shopping and Christmas card making. And, I just feel stupid just posting Nippy updates all the time. ;) Don't worry, I have some fun things to blog about and I'll get to it soon. Hang in there...please.
In order for you to not feel completely neglected so, I'm taking the easy way out with this silly post.
The boys have been practicing "estimating". Apparently, this is a big thing in the first grade. It is pretty funny and they are not very good at it.
I was wondering how good you all are at estimating. I want you to estimate how many pounds of grapes and how many bananas our family goes through in a week.
I'll give you a couple of hints.
1. Bananas and grapes are very much enjoyed by our family.
2. One of the numbers is absurd! I always wondered how many we go through so, I finally kept track last week.
I know some blogs give out prizes...but, I've got nothin'. Maybe I can throw a candy cane or something, in the winner's Christmas card...I'll think about it. ;)
And, the answer is ....14 pounds of bananas and 15.7 pounds of grapes. I could not believe that we eat that many grapes! At least we are offsetting the grapes with almost as many bananas.
Thanks for playing! And, good job!! I know Natasha was the only one close with the grapes. I'll have to go back and check the banana guess and hunt down some candy canes. :)

15 pounds of bananas and 5 pounds of grapes?
Ooooh, I think Nicole is pretty close. I'll guess 19lbs of bananans (I remember that each boy takes a 'personalized' banana to school everyday :-)) and 6lbs of grapes.
I'll say 17# of bananas and 7# of grapes.

Boy the number just keeps going up and up... I am gonna go even higher on the grapes as it is true about bananas to school. My guess is that they only eat it at school. But I know they love grapes... so I am gonna say 12 pounds of bananas and 10 pounds of grapes.
banana's are heavy! I'm going to guess 20 pounds and for the grapes 8 pounds...
I wish you had hinted which was the outrageous one ---I would say 20 and 10 , but I think the grapes would be the outrageous one so maybe only 5 for bananas and 15 for the grapes---when will you post the results?
