On the other hand...

I've been thinking about yesterday's post and decided that I need a post to offset the "perfectness" of it. I mean, I wouldn't want to read this blog as an old lady and get overly-depressed that my kids are grown and all of the fun is over. I figure that by posting some of the more challenging part of my days may allow me to go back to enjoying my "retirement".

First of all, my kids are very LOUD!! They all like to talk at the same time as loud as they can. They are especially loud in the van. Summer time with the van windows open sounds great to me!!

Second, my kids are very soft when they are actually talking to me. I don't know why it is ok for them to yell as loud as they can at their brothers, who are also yelling as loud as they can, at the same time, but when it comes time to tell me something interesting, they whisper. I don't get it!

Third, they make a LOT of laundry!! Like, really, a LOT!!

Fourth, they have a lot of toys. And, a lot of toys are JUNK!! Thank you McDonalds and the treasure chest at school!!

Fifth, they are very slow and very, very messy eaters.

Sixth, they get a lot of colds. Probably, individually, they don't get a lot of colds, but I guess when you have 4 kids, someone always has something.

Seventh, going along with number six....At what age does not having snot dripping off of your face become a priority??? I'm hoping it is six!

Eighth, they put their clothes on backwards...DAILY! I'm hoping that ends at age 6 too!

Ninth, as nice and neat, and put together as we may look as we are walking to school or going into church, 80% of the rooms in our home (at that point in the day) look like they have been hit by a tornado!

Tenth, I'm still trying to think of something good for #10, I'll get back to you.

This reality check has been brought to you by:
Yes, sometimes all 3 of them did cry at the same time.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you all can relate...I think.

Cath, actually I took that picture. My sister was over and thought it would be a good idea to try to get a picture of them all with their hats. I told her that I didn't think it was a good time. I guess we were both right, I have always LOVED that picture! LOL!!!
